    • ​The Progressive Era was a period of widespread social activism and political reform across the United States, from the 1890s to the 1920s.

    • ​1890s-1920s

    • ​Across the United States.

Lesson Overview: 

During this lesson, students will start using the academic vocabulary involved with The Progressive Era.  We have them up and moving around the room, finding hidden definitional clues, and working as a group to identify which clue matches which Progressive Era term.  This activity will be motivating, social, and will elicit critical thinking.  At the end, students and teacher will put together a question poster, which will be revisited throughout the unit as students are able to answer the questions
